Hi y’all! I am Baronessie Thorkatla Yngvarsdottir, or more commonly known as Toka. I participate in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) in the Barony of Fettburg, Principality of Cynagua, West Kingdom. My persona is of a 9-10th century Danish woman living in Danelaw England (northern England during the Viking Invasion). One of my favorite parts of the SCA is the research side of it. I have been compiling research on various topics lately (mainly medieval Eastern Europe, Landsknecht/Trossfrau outfits, Danelaw England, Pompeii, and tales of the Loch Ness Monster during the Norse occupation of Scotland) and wanted a place to put it all. Pinterest only gets me so far. I also wanted to share and discuss my research to further the spread of knowledge.
